Fabric Images
All the images of the Fat Quarters on sale at this site have been scanned in by us from the actual fabric we hold. Colours are as close as possible as the scanner will allow. The fabrics are scanned in a 2222px square at 400px/in resolution (or as close as we can draw a square). They are then reduced to a 400px sqaure at 72px/in resolution and saved in JPG format at 80% quality. The full images are about 5.55in square representing a proportion of the actual Fat Quarter. The size of the resultant full image is depending on the colours and shades of the fabrics, within a range up to about 80KB Download time for the largest full size image (at 56kpbs (dialup)) will be up to about 14 seconds All figures are approximate. |
