August has finished

August finishes, and so the long summer school holidays draw to a close.

What has been happening then in these past couple of weeks to Bumble Bee Quilting at Corris Craft Centre?

King Arthurs Labyrinth has been packed with people. We have seen very few, just some waiting for their turn to go underground.
Very noisy as well, excited voices echo from the childrens playground and from mobile phones.
Many trips and spills as unsupervised youngsters run amok on an uneven surface.

Lots of thefts as well. Shoplifters have been having a ball this summer. Do you realise that we are a small, struggling independent business or do you just not care?

But we have had some very pleasant folk as well. Few enough to count, but they certainly have brightened what has been a tough couple of weeks.

Term time aproaches and so the number of customers decreases. We look forward to a quieter couple of months with more discerning visitors.

Its been very hard work these past couple of weeks, and sales were not as good as anticipated. We are exhausted and stressed, but 2 months of graft remain.
